Information you choose to use

Quiutie processes only the photos, image metadata, Looks, edit recipes, and export settings that you choose to open or create. Desktop project files are processed only when you explicitly use the desktop project feature. This information provides editing, recovery, organization, and export features on your device.

Photos and files

On Apple platforms, Quiutie uses the system photo and document pickers. You choose which items the app can open. Saving to Photos requests permission to add an exported image to your photo library. Quiutie does not scan your entire library or upload selected items.

Image metadata

Opened photos can contain EXIF, camera, lens, copyright, caption, keyword, and location metadata. Quiutie reads supported metadata locally to display photo details and improve editing. Exported files include only the metadata fields you select in the export controls.

On-device machine learning

Subject masks, relative-depth analysis, and People & Pets use models packaged with the app. In desktop and iPad projects, Quiutie can detect faces, create mathematical face embeddings, and group photos that appear to contain the same person. The app stores face embeddings inside that project along with any name you assign. These model inputs, embeddings, and names remain on your device, are never uploaded, and are not sent to model authors or an online service. People & Pets is not available in the iPhone app.

Storage and deletion

On iPhone, Recent Edits, imported working files, thumbnails, and preferences are stored in the app container. Desktop project files are stored in a location you explicitly select. Face embeddings and assigned identity names are part of their desktop or iPad project and are deleted when that project is deleted. You can delete saved app data from Settings. Removing the app also removes data stored in its container, subject to device backups managed by your platform provider. Files exported or stored outside the app must be deleted from their destination separately.

Desktop purchases and licensing

When the paid desktop edition becomes available, checkout and subscription billing will be provided by Stripe. Stripe processes the contact, payment, purchase, device, and network information needed to complete the transaction and prevent fraud. Quiutie receives the purchase and subscription information needed to issue access and provide support. Payment-card details are handled by Stripe, not by the Quiutie app.

License management runs on a Quiutie-hosted Keygen server. Desktop activation sends only the license key, a pseudonymous app-specific device identifier, platform, and app version needed to validate access and enforce the device allowance. It never sends photos, desktop project files, image metadata, edit recipes, filenames, or exports. Review the Stripe Privacy Policy for Stripe's processing practices.

Network, analytics, advertising, and tracking

Quiutie contains no advertising SDK, analytics service, tracking technology, or cloud image-processing service. Apart from the desktop purchase and license requests described above, editing does not require a Quiutie account or send your work to an online service. Quiutie does not use your data for cross-app tracking, advertising, profiling, or sale.

Support inquiries

If you email support, we receive the email address and information you choose to include so we can respond. Support email is separate from the app. Please do not send private photographs unless they are necessary and you are comfortable sharing them.

Children

Quiutie does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, because the app does not operate a data-collection service.
